Reigate Community Centre is owned by the Methodist Church and is therefore governed by the Model Trusts and the Constitutional Practice and Discipline of the Methodist Church. The following restrictions apply:
- No meetings or events in which there could be teaching or practice that is contrary to the doctrines and beliefs of the Methodist Church
- No alcoholic beverages
- No parties
- No gambling
- No martial arts
- No political meetings which are open to the public
- No event which will bring the church into disrepute
Hirers will also need to agree to the Methodist Church Safeguarding Policy for children and vulnerable adults, a copy of which will be supplied.
The start/finish times specified when a booking is made are assumed to be when the hirer takes over a room and vacates it (rather than class start/finish times for example). As the centre is staffed entirely by volunteers we need to plan in advance when they will be on duty, so it’s important to know exactly when hirers expect to arrive and depart.
